Honourable Mention for Lhov and Compasso d’Oro International Award for Ariachef Pro by Ariafina, the Elica Group brand on the Japanese market for over 20 years.
Fabriano, 8 September 2025 – Elica received two prestigious accolades at the ADI Compasso d’Oro International Award 2025, confirming the Italian company's leadership in international cooking design. The ceremony, held on 5 September inside the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, celebrated those projects capable of interpreting the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.”
Lhov, the first all-in-one cooking solution on the market, received an Honourable Mention, following its Compasso d’Oro ADI win in 2024. This reaffirms, also on the international stage, the extraordinary nature of a product that has not only defined a new category in the sector, but has also brought the cooking experience to an unprecedented level.
Ariachef Pro, a ground-breaking mobile system that integrates cooking and extraction in a monolithic, essential design, also received the Compasso d’Oro International Award. Distributed in Japan by Ariafina, an Elica Group brand, in partnership with Fuji Industrial Co. Ltd, that has been operating in Japan's high-end market for over two decades, it seamlessly combines the beauty of Italian design with Japan's industrial tradition.
"The truest awards come from the market: that is why this recognition is not only an honour, but also a powerful signal of trust from our customers, a tangible confirmation that our work has successfully addressed real needs and responded effectively in one of the most advanced and demanding competitive arenas in the world. We are deeply grateful to this extraordinary country and its culture of excellence, which drives us to aim higher, to create relevance, quality and innovation,” said Francesco Casoli, Chairman of Elica.
With this third Compasso d’Oro and ADI Honourable Mention, Elica, thanks to Fabrizio Crisà, the Group’s Chief Design Officer, once again confirms its leadership in design and innovation in the cooking sector.
"With Ariachef Pro we have created a professional-grade product with the power, reliability, and performance of high-end kitchens. At the same time, it aims to bring people closer and step outside of professional kitchens to take centre stage in live cooking shows. Ariachef is easy to transport thanks to its ingenious handling system, which makes it easy to move outside its specialist dimension and become an accessible, desirable experience also outside of professional kitchens. Lhov, already a Compasso d’Oro ADI winner in 2024, represents a radically new vision: a concept that does not simply reimagine form or function, but opens new perspectives on how design can transform the relationship between technology and daily life. Receiving these two new awards is not only a testament to the outstanding quality of our projects, but also confirmation that design, when it dares to defy convention, can open new avenues. This shows that radical innovation is the right path forward. A path that requires vision, courage, and above all the desire to question existing rules to create new ones.” - said Fabrizio Crisà, Chief Design Officer of Elica.
The event – promoted by ADI Associazione per il Disegno Industriale (Association for Industrial Design) in collaboration with the General Commissioner for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka – was attended by Italian institutions and an international audience. Immediately afterwards, the Awards exhibition was inaugurated at the Italy Pavilion, home of the capsule exhibition for the twenty products selected to be included in the ADI Compasso d’Oro Collection, recognised by Italy’s Ministry of Culture as a "heritage of exceptional artistic and historical interest".
The central theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” is the perfect backdrop to highlight Elica’s core values of functional design, beauty, and technological innovation. These are the cornerstones that underpin the company’s role as a leader in the cooking sector. In Italy and across the globe.
